In the early hours of Sunday, October 22, 2023, unknown assailants attacked and tragically killed Yosi Yusuf, a female student of the College of Education in Billiri, Gombe State. The incident occurred at Zazzagawa quarters in Billiri, where the late Yosi resided as an off-campus student.
This distressing event took place just 48 hours after the brutal murder of Aishatu Abdullahi, a 58-year-old mother of eight, in the capital of Gombe State.

Yosi Yusuf, a third-year student pursuing a National Certificate in Education (NCE), was a resident of Baganje Town in Billiri LGA.
The spokesperson of the Gombe State Police Command, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is already underway to apprehend the assailants.
The body of the deceased has been placed in the mortuary of the Billiri General Hospital, awaiting the completion of a discreet investigation by the police to uncover the circumstances surrounding the crime and bring the culprits to justice.
